Self Storage Website Sees Continued Growth in Membership and Services

USstoragesearch.com Press Release Via PRweb

2011 exceeded expectations on all fronts for USstoragesearch.com, the largest and longest standing online storage directory. Fueled by the launch of the USstoragesearch.com Self Storage Network, a network of sites displaying member storage facilities, in March 2011, the storage directory saw its largest year-over-year growth while experiencing virtually no member attrition. Michael G. Kucera, President and Founder of USstoragesearch.com, addressed 2011’s membership growth saying “I think we can attribute the growth alongside nearly 100% existing customer retention to the years of trust we have built within the industry by always providing a quality service, the value of which can be easily measured in terms of additional bottom line profit for storage operators.”

Having stood as the largest online storage directory for several years now, USstoragesearch.com focused on refining its existing suite of online storage marketing tools, expanding its Self Storage Network and developing new technologies set for launch in 2012 that will further improve the ability of self storage operators to interactively reach online consumers.

USstoragesearch.com invested substantial time and energy into refining its existing product line in 2011, most notably with its Call Center. The company is the only independent online storage directory that has its own call center. The call center also distinguishes itself from the rest of the industry by operating as a pay-for-performance call center. Brian Bremer heads up the USstoragesearch.com call center and explained that “the USstoragesearch.com call center model gives its customers a worry free solution to ensuring that a sales opportunity is never missed.” Storage facilities using the call center can have all their calls sent to the call center, only calls from certain marketing sources or just after hours & calls that are missed during the day by their manager. The storage operator doesn’t pay a flat fee as they do in many call centers, rather they only pay each time the USstoragesearch.com call center reserves a storage unit at their storage facility.

To directly monitor the results of different marketing efforts, the company offers unique and individual telephone tracking numbers to members. This allows each member to not only see how many calls USstoragesearch.com provides to them but the duration, time and length of the phone calls. In addition members have the ability to listen to all calls, giving them an opportunity to grade managers, respond to consumer needs and adjust pricing and offers to match what their customers need.

The number of storage facilities using the USstoragesearch.com call center more than quadrupled in 2011, which led to the need for a physical expansion at the company’s headquarters in Omaha, NE. The expansion of the call center and the number of call center employees has opened the doors for several new opportunities in 2012 that will benefit both call center customers and the member facilities taking advantage of the USstoragesearch.com Self Storage Network.

The USstoragesearch.com Self Storage Network was launched with its first partner website, Storage.com, in March of 2011. Member facilities looking for additional online visibility had the option of placing their facilities in the Network program. Again, USstoragesearch.com took a pay-for-performance approach to the new product. Storage operators using the Network only pay when they receive a new storage unit reservation.

After the successful launch of Storage.com several dozen new partner websites were added throughout the year including StorageUnit.com. Many of the sites are websites aimed at consumers who have a need for storage and want the ability reserve storage units online. Other sites, like the more than 1,300 hyper-local directories operated by HelloMetro.com & HelloLocal.com, are websites that offer a broad variety of local community information and took advantage of USstoragesearch.com having the largest storage footprint to provide their visitors with storage information they need.

In addition to the growth of their Self Storage Network and the optimization of the existing product line Mike Jones, Vice President of Operations, shared that “significant time and energy has been invested into the development of several new products that will be launched in the coming months. We nearly tripled the size of our programming department over the last 18 months so we would have the ability to maintain & improve the existing product line while simultaneously building some great new products designed to make online marketing easier and more affordable to all operators, especially small and midsized operators.” Kucera echoed Jones’ sentiments and feels “USstoragesearch.com is an online marketing service that gives small & midsized operators who don’t currently have an web presence an instant online presence that allows them to compete immediately for online consumers, which can be a real marketing advantage in what has become a very competitive marketplace.”
