Be Fully Stocked

If your facility offers packing and moving supplies, make sure that you have plenty of things ready to go. It might be a good idea to purchase extras of the items that you use the most as well. Customers will appreciate it if you have what they need to make their experience better.

Spring Cleaning

Go around your facility and spruce little things up here and there. A little bit of maintenance can go a long way. For a few examples, freshen up flower beds, make sure your hand trucks don’t squeak, power wash the outside of the buildings, and perhaps give a fresh coat of paint to your office.

Check Your Advertising

Make sure you’re advertising to all of your target markets during this time period. Put ads in local papers, school and neighborhood newsletters, and sponsor any events where you might be able to reach your audience easily.

Know Your Inventory

When people call wanting to know what options they have, the quicker you can give them answers the better. Knowing what your specials are and having a good idea of what vacancies are around should help you give customers the answers they are needing.

Any preparation you can complete during this time should help. Now is the time to make sure you’ve got everything lined up. You don’t want to have a crowded facility one Saturday and just realize then that you need more boxes or have a couple of light bulbs burned out. We hope that you have a busy and successful spring and summer season with all of the busy people going through life events during this time of year. We also hope that you’re ready to handle all of the potential attention your facility could receive.
